Atos is still shielded from mass tourism, so there are not many tourist agencies on the peninsula itself, and therefore not many excursion offers.

The most popular excursion from Athos is, of course, a cruise around Mount Athos.
The departure is from Ouranoupolis. On this cruise, you can see about twenty monasteries from a distance, and often dolphins can be spotted on these cruises.

Another organized excursion is a trip to the island of Drenia (Donkey Islands).

From Athos, you can always rent your own boat and visit the island of Ammouliani and its beautiful beaches. During that time, you can also visit the Drenia islands on your own.
