Gerakini Apartment belongs to a truly unique complex of private apartments with direct access to a sandy beach. The complex covers as much as 1.2 hectares, while the apartments occupy only a very small part of the area. Everything else consists of spacious lawns, trees, an olive grove, plenty of natural shade, open space, and private parking for the apartment owners and their guests. This is one of those complexes that are rarely found—with so much greenery, space, and direct access to the sea.
There are not many tourists in the complex. The apartments are mostly occupied by their owners, predominantly Greeks, who have been spending their summers here for years, ever since before the mass development of tourism, while only a smaller number of apartments are rented out to guests. Thanks to this, the atmosphere is peaceful, pleasant, and family-oriented, without the crowds typical of large tourist complexes.
The owners maintain the complex with great care because they do not see it merely as tourist accommodation, but as a place where they themselves spend their summers, year after year. That is why we truly believe it is a privilege to stay here—in the greenery and shade, among people who love and take care of this place.
The large, well-maintained yard leads directly to the beach, so you can go for a swim straight from the apartment wearing only your swimsuit, without driving, looking for parking, or carrying your belongings over a longer distance. The beach has coarse sand, the sea is crystal clear, and there is plenty of shallow water, making it suitable for families with children.
This is not an accommodation intended for guests whose priority is a new, luxurious, or designer-furnished apartment with modern furniture. The apartments are functional, comfortable, and fully equipped for longer stays, but they are not “fancy.” They are primarily intended for guests who appreciate peace, comfort, privacy, greenery, natural shade, plenty of space, and the possibility of reaching the beach in just a few steps.
There are only a small number of apartments in the complex, making it an excellent choice for those who want a true vacation—without large crowds, in a safe environment, with a huge yard, well-maintained lawns, and direct access to the beach.

The complex is located about 2 km from the center of Gerakini. It is situated just outside the village itself, which is an additional advantage for guests whose priority is a peaceful holiday.
The owners furnished the apartments primarily for themselves, for spending the entire summer and for longer holidays, so Gerakini Apartment is also fully equipped for extended stays.
There are two buildings within the complex, and Gerakini Apartment, with an area of 75 m², is located in the building closer to the sea. It is situated on the ground floor and has a large balcony overlooking the greenery. The apartment has three bedrooms.
The first bedroom has two single beds, which can be joined together if needed, a large wardrobe, a dining table, and access to the terrace. The second bedroom also has two single beds and, like the living room, is equipped with a TV and air conditioning. The third bedroom has two single beds and a wardrobe.
All three bedrooms are completely separated by doors, providing guests with privacy.
Several fans are also available to guests if needed, although the owner says that the apartment never gets too hot. A fan can also be used on the terrace if there are mosquitoes. The hotel and the campsite, located on either side of the property, carry out mosquito spraying, so according to the owner, there are almost no mosquitoes. Nevertheless, mosquito screens are installed on all windows and doors.
All windows and doors are additionally secured for safety, which is especially practical if you like sleeping with the windows or doors open during the night. The apartment has been recently renovated, is very neat and clean, and offers plenty of space even for longer stays.
The bathroom is spacious and has a bathtub with a shower, while the kitchen is large and fully equipped with cookware and utensils for food preparation. Guests have at their disposal a large refrigerator with a freezer, a toaster, an electric kettle, a stove, a filter coffee maker, a dining table, and access to the terrace.
If there is still something you need, you can always contact the owner, who lives in the same building and genuinely wants to accommodate her guests as much as possible.
The apartment has WiFi internet access. Upon arrival, guests receive clean towels and bed linen, which they later change themselves as needed. A washing machine, located in the kitchen, is also available. During their stay, guests are responsible for cleaning the apartment themselves.
In the spacious yard separating the apartment from the beach, there is plenty of shade beneath the olive trees, as well as several fruit and fig trees, whose fruit is available to guests.
Guests usually spend their time relaxing in the shade of the yard rather than under umbrellas on the beach, since the yard is located right by the shoreline.
In the yard, guests have at their disposal:
- an outdoor shower,
- several water taps,
- several toys for children, including swings and a football goal,
- a covered gazebo with benches,
- plastic tables and chairs,
- a canoe,
- four sun loungers,
- two beach umbrellas,
- ample parking space.
Two types of barbecue are also available—an electric barbecue, which can be used on the balcony, and a traditional outdoor barbecue.
The apartment is located at the exit of Gerakini when coming from Thessaloniki, next to Kouyoni Campsite. The entrance gate to the property is marked AKTI 24.
In order for the owner to open the gate upon your arrival, you need to call her by phone or inform her of your exact arrival time in advance.
Access to the property is permitted only to the owners and their guests. The vehicle entrance gate can only be opened using the access code you receive upon arrival or by using a remote control. The entire property is fenced and secure.
There is direct access from the complex to the nearby campsite. The campsite has a mini market with basic groceries, a restaurant, a café, and a swimming pool that you may use with the purchase of a drink.

The accommodation is perfect, tidy, located in a private courtyard, with the beach just a two-minute walk away. Overall, I highly recommend it. Mrs. Sofia is a wonderful hostess, attentive and unobtrusive. Everything exceeded our expectations.

- Deposit of 20% is required to confirm the reservation. Remaining balance should be payed first day upon arrival. If cancelled 21 or more days prior to arrival, paid money will be fully refunded. If cancelled at any time later, paid money is non-refundable. In the case of early departure, 50% of remaining days will be charged.
