The village of Svoronata is located at the foot of Livathos hill. The village has retained much of its old architecture, thanks to its narrow winding streets and colorful gardens. Tourists’ holiday accommodations are situated on the outskirts of the village, surrounded by wild olive groves and perfectly landscaped orchards.

In just a few minutes drive you can find three famous beaches - Ammes, Avithos and Ai Helis. More about beaches on the south coast of Kefalonia you can find HERE.

Argostoli is located 10km away, and Lassi and its famous beaches at about 7km distance. Svoronata is also a great base for touring the southern part of the island.

Svoronata does not have a lot of amenities, several restaurants, shops and car rental agencies. There are also three churches in the village, dedicated to St. Nicholas, St. Athanasius and Virgin Mary.

Svoronata is still developing as a tourist destination because of its good location, vicinity to the famous beaches, but also because of the lower price overnights, compared to Lassi and Argostoli.
