Polichrono is located on the east coast of Kassandra peninsula, about 95km from Thessaloniki and about 700km from Belgrade.

In the last few years, Polichrono is becoming an increasingly popular resort that’s rapidly developing. Though, it still represents a quieter version of summer vacation in comparison to Pefkohori and Hanioti, because it’s a bit smaller. The beach road is full of shops, restaurants, bars and souvenir shops. It’s closed for traffic from 19:00 until after midnight and during this time, it turns into the crowded and lively promenade. Restaurants and taverns with gardens offer diverse and delicious meals with meat and seafood, and bars with romantic atmosphere offer a large selection of drinks and cocktails.

The beach in Polichrono is long and mostly sandy. The only part with stones is on the right side, looking toward the sea. The beach is arranged, with lots of umbrellas and sunbeds, yet there’s plenty of room for the visitors with their own equipment. The sea is clean and transparent, depth is gradual, so Polichrono is an excellent choice with families with children.

In Paliouri (15km) you can visit a famous Xenia beach. If you feel like change wher to going out in the evening or during the day, interesting places on Kassandra are very close. Beautiful Hanioti (4km), Pefkohori (8km) and Kallithea (10km) with one of the most beautiful beaches of Kassandra. To all of these places, as well as to Xenia beach, you can get with local buses. You can also book excursions offered by local travel agencies.

In Polichrono you will find private infirmaries, pharmacy, post office, supermarkets, bakeries, kiosks with fast food, pizzerias and rent-a-car agency, more or less everything you need for an eventful family vacation. Apart from a couple of cafes that are open in the evening, there are no other possibilities for a night out, therefor Polichrono is ideal for families with children and couples looking for a quiet holiday. Young people looking for entertainment and nightlife can visit Kallithea (10km), the centre of nightlife on Kassandra, with popular nightclubs. If your accommodation has no parking space, you should know that Polichrono has two public parking lots in the city center.

The nearest hospital is in Poligiros (60km), and the health centre is in Nea Moudania (36km).

In all, Polichrono is a peaceful resort whose biggest advantage is a long sandy beach with clear water, no algae, jellyfish or sea urchins, as well as the proximity to beautiful beaches and popular places.
