Accommodation description

Finikas Garden is a brand new complex, built in a quiet and less populated part of Nikiti, just 100m from the sea. The pedantically maintained and neat accommodation units are equipped with modern and high-quality furniture and they are modernly designed. The amenities include a large and beautifully landscaped yard full of greenery, private parking, an outdoor pool for adults and one for children, as well as a children’s playground right next to it.

The beach at distance of around 100m is not arranged, with gravel and stones, and although it can be used, it’s not recommended. The main beach in Nikiti, sandy, long and beautiful, is 1km away. There, about a kilometer away, it is the beginning of the beach and promenade, and the city center with various facilities such as traditional taverns, fast food restaurants, pizzerias, bars, cafes, pancake and pastry shops, souvenir shops, children’s facilities, bakery and well-equipped supermarket.

In the offer are double studios on the floor, quadruple apartments on the ground floor, and apartments in semi-basement with two bedrooms. Double studios have one double or two single beds. Quadruple apartments have one double bed in a bedroom and one single bed (under which one can be pulled out a drawer bed of the same size) in the living room with kitchen, while apartments in semi-basement have one double and two single beds in two bedrooms separated from kitchen.

All accommodation units have a kitchen with an induction hob and fridge with a freezer compartment, mosquito nets, WiFi internet, SAT TV, air conditioning and a bathroom with a glass shower cabin, while baby cot is available on request. Accommodation units on the ground floor have a terrace separated by the glass divider from the other ones, while the units on the first floor have spacious balconies separated by opaque glass with awning, sitting furniture and drying rack. Cleaning is performed every day, while bed linen and towels are replaced after three nights.

The beautifully landscaped courtyard is fenced, it has a large lawn for running and playing, and the children will surely like the playground in the sand with swings, claws and climbers, which is right next to it. Sunbeds by the pool are not charged, and you can use the pool all day (10:00-20:00). A reception desk is at the entrance and a spacious and safe private parking is provided. In the same yard there is also Finikas Apartments and Alex Apartment & Maisonette.

At the entrance to Nikiti, turn right at the traffic lights into Neakitou street and continue to almost its end. Before exiting to the promenade and the beach, turn right into the alley parallel with the beach and continue ahead through Egialou street (you’ll know you’re on the right path as soon as you see the hotel Marina on the right side, and just continue ahead) until you see the small chapel of St. Barbara. At about 130m directly from it, you’ll see the sign for Angelo Studios, continue ahead for 100m, turn right and 150m later you’ll be in front of the accommodation.

Finikas Garden could be a good choice for those looking for an oasis of peace, quality and nice accommodation to enjoy out of the noise and crowd, and we can especially recommend it to families with children.

A beautiful apartment. Over the course of ten days, the linens were changed twice, and every day the rooms and terrace were cleaned. We had a wonderful time.

Let me start from the beginning. My first complaint directly concerns Nikana. For years, we have been booking accommodations through them, but this year they acted like a bunch of amateurs. They responded partially to all my requests and questions, forcing me to ask the same thing several times to piece together a complete answer. Regarding Finikas Garden Resort, we stayed in this accommodation for only 5 nights, as we had a reservation for another 10 nights in Sarti, in an accommodation we also booked through Nikana. Finikas Garden Resort is a decent place, relatively new, but for that price, everything needs to be elevated to a higher standard. The first problem arose upon our arrival. We did not receive the double studio on the first floor that we paid for, but rather a substitute on the ground floor. The fact is that it was a four-person studio we received at the price of a double, and we even got it with an additional discount of €30, but that does not change the fact that this is not what I paid for. I always take a studio on the first or higher floor, never on the ground floor. The owner seemed disappointed because he expected four people, and now he had to give us a four-person studio at the price of a double; however, when we entered the studio, it was furnished only with a double bed, while the other two single beds had neither blankets nor towels, which is clear evidence that he expected two, not four people. The second problem was with the double-leaf sliding balcony door, one of which lacked a handle, just a hole, and the lock was open, so I had to close that leaf with the help of a stick and some makeshift means, but worst of all, the locks lack a "crackling device," so the door can be opened from the outside with a better screwdriver without much effort. That’s why I avoid ground floors at all costs. Thirdly, the beds are, in my opinion, very hard, and I felt like I was sleeping on a slightly thicker carpet. I could hardly wait to move to another accommodation. Fourth, the parking is a piece of land, unmarked, unlit, and only covered with stones from which weeds sprout, and if you arrive last, you have to park by the road. The owner himself, whether due to the fact that I was dissatisfied for not receiving the studio on the first floor and for insisting on it, or for some other reason, was not particularly friendly when he met us. He greeted us in a strictly business-like manner, and it was a quick exchange of hellos before everyone went their separate ways. If we overlook the negative aspects, the accommodation is good, clean, well-equipped, with a nice lawn, a children's playground, and a pool (if a pool is important to someone when going to the sea), but all this, in my opinion, is not worth the money, especially considering that I booked another accommodation in Sarti for €20 cheaper per night, which is at least twice as good. I would not return to Finikas Garden Resort. P.S. I did not contact Nikana regarding the issue with the accommodation unit because the owner was adamant that there were no other available studios, and it was a take-it-or-leave-it situation, so I am not convinced that Nikana could have done anything about it. Honestly, I wouldn’t have stayed there at all, but I conceded for the sake of my better half.

Booking and cancellation terms

Deposit of 30% is required to confirm the reservation. Remaining balance should be payed first day upon arrival. If cancelled 31 or more days prior to arrival, paid money will be fully refunded. If cancelled at any time later, paid money is non-refundable. In the case of early departure, 50% of remaining days will be charged.
