In choosing accommodation and location, we were guided by the fact that we are a family with three small children, so our criteria were a calm beach and a quiet place. We chose Maria Karga Studios, and we have no regrets whatsoever. We read numerous reviews, and all were positive. In the end, we verified their truthfulness ourselves. The accommodation is, in our opinion, in an ideal location. We stayed in a five-bed apartment number 1, which was right next to a large shared kitchen (for those who dislike the smell of cooked meals in their apartments) and a spacious area for relaxation with plenty of tables and chairs, as well as two large swings for the children and a small table with chairs. The apartment itself is clean, spacious, air-conditioned, with a kitchen, five comfortable beds, a dining table, a large wardrobe for storage, and a bathroom. Bed linens and towels are changed every three days. The yard is tidy, paved with stone. At the entrance to the complex, there is also a lovely area for evening relaxation with comfortable chairs and tables. We were welcomed by Eleni, about whom we had heard only kind words, and she truly lives up to all the accolades. Always courteous and helpful, yet not at all intrusive, just like her mother. All praises for the two of them. The apartments are close to the town center, which does not have any special attractions. A few fish restaurants, a tavern with a bakery and pastry shop serving traditional dishes (excellent gyros), a few travel agencies, and a few souvenir shops. About 500m from the accommodation is one of the most beautiful beaches, Trani Ammouda (Livrohio), and on the other side of the town, along the main road, about 1km from the accommodation, there is a small beautiful cove with a sandy beach and unrealistically clean water. For small children, it is simply paradise on earth. A long shallow, calm, warm, turquoise sea, perfect for all kinds of enjoyment. The beach is called Latoura. Do not miss it if you decide on this location for your vacation. It’s best to arrive between 9-10 AM, as there is the most space for your gear and parking. We combined our mornings there and afternoons at Trani A., where there is always parking available, as it is long and wide enough, with coarser sand, making it very easy to clean towels and clothes. For those who enjoy livelier places with more restaurants and cafes, Nikiti is just a five-minute drive away and has all that. It also has several supermarkets (Lidl and Masoutis). All in all, Ormos Panagias is an excellent base for exploring the entire Sitonia. Everything left a wonderful impression on us, and we plan to return next year (the kids are already counting the days). There are many beautifully written reviews about the place and its advantages, so those who have the time should read them; they will find plenty of interesting and useful information, making it easy to organize and prepare. :)

Maria Karga Studios is situated in an excellent location for a holiday on Sithonia. Firstly, it is just 8 minutes away from Trani Amouda beach, which ranks among the top five on Sithonia, and is close to all the other top ten beaches. Ormos Panagias is a wonderful place if you dislike evening crowds and enjoy strolling through a town that has character. The accommodation is equipped with everything you need, including a large kitchen outside the studio, so you don’t have to prepare anything in your room. You can also enjoy your coffee right at the entrance to the apartments, where part of the space resembles a cozy café. All in all, it’s a beautiful holiday experience, and I hope it will be a choice for vacation next year as well.

My impressions of this accommodation and the place itself are phenomenal! We stayed in a three-bed accommodation, which is furnished like a hotel with a mini kitchenette. The studio is very nicely equipped, the kitchenette has all the necessary utensils for preparing quick meals, a bathroom with always hot water and good pressure, as well as a terrace shaded by trees. The air conditioning is new, the terrace doors are insulated so we did not have noise from the main road, and they have mosquito nets. The studio is cleaned every three days, thoroughly, and even when we returned from the beach, we found our scattered belongings neatly packed on the bed. The bathroom features a mirror framed with a special wood treatment technique done by the owner Eleni, along with small shampoos made from essential oils that smell delightful. In the yard, in the section where the four-bed studios are located, there is a special room that is a huge kitchen where you can prepare all kinds of dishes, as it is equipped with an oven, a gas stove, and also has a grill, along with all the necessary utensils for cooking. Parking is not in the yard, but right across the street, and you can leave your car in the shade under the trees. The beach is a 10-minute walk away, and it is Trani Ammouda, one of the most beautiful on Sithonia, stretching about 3 km with fine sand along the entire beach, which is also in the water about 50m from the shore, making the water clear, blue, and very clean, considering it is large, so there is no crowd. If you bring your own equipment, there is plenty of space so that no one bothers you, and you can settle by the shore if you have small children. There are also beach bars with sun loungers on the beach, but they are quite expensive. The beach is so peaceful, considering it is the peak season, that you can even take a nap under the sunshade to the sounds of the waves created by the winds that constantly blow, but they are not too strong, so the waves are moderate and interesting. Ormos itself is a small place that has several fish restaurants offering fantastic seafood specialties, but you must reserve a spot as they are always packed, as they are known to be the best on Sithonia. In the center, there is a tavern whose name I did not remember, but I did remember Kosta who served us and speaks Serbian. In that tavern, you can enjoy excellent souvlaki and gyros, and there is also a bakery where you can buy even better pastries and always fresh, homemade bread. The place also has a mini-market where you can buy essential groceries. Fresh fish and seafood can be bought early in the morning from Pavlos, as Ormos has a harbor where fishing boats dock. There is no nightlife, nor modern facilities for children and young people, but you can enjoy sitting on benches with a view of the harbor. If you are driving, Vurvuru is nearby, where you can rent a boat and explore the island of Diasporos and other nearby beaches, which I recommend as it is an incredible experience. About two to three kilometers away is Agios Nikolaos, a charming place with traditional Greek architecture, narrow streets paved like cobblestones, and a square nestled among those streets with taverns under the trees where you can enjoy traditional Greek food and the company of local Greeks, considering there are hardly any visitors there. Nikiti is about 10 km away, where there is a Lidl, which I think is the only good store, as Nikiti itself is a huge hive of people, so I did not like it. The Karga House accommodation is one of the most affordable in Ormos, and it is phenomenal, especially for families with children and people who want a vacation without crowds. A warm recommendation for both the accommodation and Ormos!

The apartment I stayed in was suitable for three people. The internet signal was weak. The side of the house facing the highway was disastrous, with trucks passing by all day and night, making it difficult to sleep. The beach is beautiful, spacious, with fine sand, located about ten minutes away on foot. There is no private parking; vehicles are left on the street.

We spent 12 days at Maria Karga Studios. The three-bed studio No. 19 on the second floor (the part that has not been renovated - as far as I could conclude, the first floor has been renovated). The studio is quite small, and although we are not accustomed to any luxury, it was indeed minuscule. The kitchen is also small, lacking some utensils for food preparation, but considering we didn't prepare anything special, it didn't bother us. I emphasize this if anyone plans to do some extensive cooking - it is really difficult to manage. The location is decent for sightseeing, Nikiti is located 5 km away for larger shopping and evening strolls. The place itself is a true fishing village, with 3-4 restaurants, two kiosks, a market on the highway which I would say is considerably more expensive than Masutis, a bakery also on the highway, a pizzeria, a small promenade by the sea, and that's about it. The owner is very kind, the accommodation is exceptionally clean - they changed the bedding, towels, and cleaned every third day, and the terrace is lovely. Although the studio faced the highway, it was not noisy, and one could sleep well. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The yard is beautifully maintained, always clean and pleasant. The internet is very poor. When I say this, I mean both wifi and mobile internet, considering that there is almost no network signal. We bought a Vodafone card because the store in Nikiti that sold Cosmote cards has closed. After that, we also purchased an esim through Holafly, but there was simply no signal within a 500m radius. Outside of that, everything worked fine on the beaches, or rather, as the internet usually works in Greece. All in all, we are most satisfied with the price-quality ratio, where the children are not restless, and the house is not cramped, and as for the internet, we survived without it.

We are staying in a four-person room located on the ground floor. The beds are excellent and very comfortable for sleeping. The linens and towels are changed every three days, and the room is regularly cleaned. It is a comfortable room with a large refrigerator and a fully equipped kitchen. In the courtyard, there is a shared kitchen equipped with all necessary appliances and dishes for larger gatherings. The location is fantastic, and the price is quite reasonable. The landlady is very kind and cheerful. We will definitely return here 😊

We were accommodated in a three-bed apartment that was not large, but it did not bother us, with a view of the main road. The noise did not disturb us, mostly during the day. At night, it was quiet. The apartment had two hotplates and all the necessary dishes and cutlery. The villa features a spacious courtyard with plenty of tables and chairs. There is also a shared kitchen located in the courtyard that all apartments could use. During our 12-day stay, the bedding was changed three times. The apartments are very clean and have towels.

I apologize in advance for the lengthy review, but I believe it will be helpful to someone! When I booked the accommodation, I was a bit concerned about the distance to the beach, but ultimately, I decided not to let that be a barrier, considering the kids are not so small anymore. I thought to myself, "It doesn't matter, we'll go to the beach once, and we don't have to return to the accommodation until evening, even if it's far away." However, the accommodation is in an ideal location! Just 200 meters from the city center and 650 meters from what I consider the most beautiful part of Trani Amouda beach! The walk to the beach is easy, without any effort, and it takes a maximum of 10 minutes on foot! We carried all possible beach gear (tent, umbrella, towels, buckets, mattresses, etc.). We strolled back to the accommodation if we forgot something or to take an afternoon break! The beach is perfect, vast, sandy, without crowds, and there is ample parking available! We stayed in a five-bed studio on the ground floor, which is excellent! The beds are comfortable and spacious, and the linens and towels are changed every 5 days, but we didn’t even get to use them all because I don’t know how many towels they provided when we arrived! Everything is clean and tidy! The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. If you don’t want to heat the apartment, the shared kitchen in the courtyard has literally everything you need (brick grill, electric grill, oven, sink, cooking rings – so everything you might need). In front of the kitchen, there are dining tables, and we also had our own table in front of the apartment, as well as one inside the apartment! This means you can choose where to eat 😊 In the apartment, you have dish soap, liquid soap, toilet paper, bath supplies, and a sponge! The only things we needed were a tablecloth, dish towel, cutting board, and a wine opener (which the hostess lent us when I asked). They had everything else! The yard is beautiful, filled with flowers, tastefully arranged! The hostess, or rather her daughter, is a phenomenal young woman, ready to help with anything you need, cheerful and kind! In the end, we even received a gift when we were leaving for home! Truly, only words of praise for this accommodation! We are not the type of people who like to go to the same place all the time, but we plan to come back here next year! And one more thing I didn't mention is the parking for the accommodation. It is located across from the accommodation, surrounded by greenery, with always more than enough space for everyone.

An excellent place and house for relaxation. We stayed in a five-person studio number 1. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the endlessly kind young owner Eleni, who showed us the accommodation and the outdoor kitchen primarily used by those staying in the ground-floor studios. Eleni is available for any kind of assistance, and you feel as though she is someone close to whom you can rely on. Right next to the studio is a lovely area with several tables and large umbrellas, making it a great spot for conversation, dining, enjoying coffee, or surfing the internet. It is particularly pleasant in the morning and afternoon hours when the heat is less intense. The studio is quite comfortable (35m²), equipped with cozy beds of sturdy metal construction with excellent mattresses, decorative cushions, and a coverlet. It features a loft bed with a safety railing and metal ladders for climbing, making it very safe for sleeping. There is a kitchen with all the necessary utensils, a table with chairs, and appliances for meal preparation and food storage (a large combined refrigerator and freezer), detergent, a sponge, and a dishcloth, although the outdoor kitchen is mainly used for cooking, so the studio itself is not burdened with that. There is also a spacious wardrobe with hangers (including blankets and towels if needed). The bathroom is adequately spacious, clean, with a small tiled ground-level bathtub and a curtain, and includes small details such as mini shampoo bottles for showering, small hotel soaps, provided toilet paper, waste paper bin bags, cleaning supplies, and equipment. The TV and air conditioning unit are excellent. The studio is cleaned and the bed linens are changed a total of three times over ten days, and you truly feel a sense of cleanliness during your stay. The doors and windows have protective screens, which not only guard against mosquito entry but also provide a good solution for constant air circulation. The studio faces the neighboring courtyard rather than the main road, so the noise from the highway is not an issue. Finally, the kind Eleni gave us two thoughtful gifts, which is truly a lovely gesture of attention. Across from the accommodation house, there is parking on a small elevation, where there is ample space for parking. The area has a small market for supplies, but nearby is a Lidl in Nikiti, or larger supermarkets, like in Vurvuri, where we often went to the beach at Favi. The large beach in the area is about 700-800 m away (Livrohio and Trani Amuda), which we accessed by car, and due to the large crowds, it can take a bit of time to find a parking spot, but there is always availability. The beach itself is beautiful, sandy, approximately 2.5 km long, and marked with a blue flag. The sea is stunning with views of Athos. There are sunbeds near bars and hotels, but also plenty of space for personal umbrellas and chairs, so there is no feeling of cramped space. For an evening outing, there is a restaurant on a hill above the port, part of the Barbagianis accommodation, offering a wonderful view of the sea, excellent food, and pleasant music (a dinner for two - seafood, drinks, salad, dessert - around 50 euros). The accommodation, in addition to being pleasant to stay in, is a good starting point for visiting numerous beautiful beaches in Sithonia.

We stayed in a five-person studio that pleasantly surprised us. The studio was spacious enough for a family of five and equipped with all the necessary amenities (cosmetics, towels, a hairdryer, a large refrigerator with a freezer, and air conditioning). The biggest drawback was the rather weak internet connection. The studio is located right next to an outdoor kitchen that is very well equipped (with a gas stove, oven, grill, and various utensils) and available to everyone. In front of the shared kitchen, there are tables that we regularly used, but someone might find the slight noise from the nearby highway bothersome, which was not an issue for us. The studio itself is not facing the highway, so the noise is minimal. The accommodation was very clean. In the town, about a ten-minute walk away, there is a beautiful, large, sandy beach (Trani Ammouda). The villa is located at the entrance to the town (right next to the highway), which made it very convenient for us to access other beaches. We also had free parking available right in front of the villa. The owner, Eleni, was very kind and always available. We are very satisfied with the entire accommodation, highly recommended. :)

This is already the second time we have stayed in the same accommodation. The owners are kind and polite, and we had no issues with them; they were always accommodating regarding any request. The internet was weak, nearly nonexistent, but we managed to resolve that at some point. A small piece of advice for anyone with two or more children - do not book a triple studio, as it is far too small (we adapted, but the first two days were quite frustrating). Therefore, be sure to book a four-bed apartment on the ground floor (we stayed there last year, even though we initially booked a triple; the owners graciously upgraded us to a larger and more comfortable apartment for the same price, probably because not everything was booked due to the pandemic). This is advice for those with more than one child; it is by no means a negative comment directed at the owners. If we were to return to the same place, we would likely book with them again. Also, I should mention that the evening before our departure, we received a gift of 3 kg of homemade honey. Highly recommended!

The staff is extraordinary and very courteous. The apartments are well-equipped, regularly cleaned, and the linens and towels are changed every three days. The only drawback of the accommodation is that all triple rooms overlook the highway, which is right next to the villa's fence. The noise is tremendous both during the day and at night.

We were accommodated in studio number 7, a double bed facing the courtyard. Initially, we were shocked by how small the studio was and how much stuff it contained, but by the fifth day, we had settled in. The large beach is nearby, just a 15-minute walk, and the center is literally five minutes away. Regarding the accommodation, everything is very clean. The owners, especially Eleni who speaks English, are wonderful; they recommended everything from beaches to taverns and restaurants in the surrounding areas, and their suggestions were excellent. It's particularly delightful that the accommodation is pet-friendly, so guests with dogs also visited. Additionally, several cats regularly come into the courtyard, which is a bonus in itself. The studio we stayed in definitely needs renovation. Especially the bathroom, which looks like it was made in the eighties in Russia. However, everything is functional, and there is always hot water. The kitchen is quite small, sufficient for making coffee, but we also had access to a large summer kitchen equipped with a grill and a big stove... We also used the host's freezer for water. We generally do not like to cook while on vacation, so we ate at the taverns, which are not plentiful in Ormos Panagias. For breakfast, the options are quite poor. There is one hotel that serves breakfast for its guests, where you can have breakfast (for 8€ per person), consisting of eggs, coffee, jam, and juice. The second place is a Russian hotel where we accidentally ended up, and it turned out they only serve for their guests, with the same price - 8€. So, you are left with the bakery, which has a wide selection of pastries if you prefer that for breakfast. As for other restaurants in the area, they are mostly fish restaurants and quite expensive. We ate fish several times, and the bills ranged from 35 to 40€ (for two). Most often, we dined at the little square in the town where a restaurant, pastry shop, travel agency, and bakery are connected. The same people work at these places from 6 in the morning until 1 after midnight. Quite disturbing to know. The food is OK, nothing special. Gyros and souvlaki are fine, but skip the pizza and pasta. We explored the nearby beaches, mainly looking for those without beach bars, both for peace and to avoid crowds and COVID, as well as due to the drastically increased prices. The first three rows cost 10€ per person, while the others are 5€ per person. If you really enjoy organized beaches, there is a team at the nearest house where you can rent two sunbeds and an umbrella for 10€ for the whole day. You can bring your own food and drinks. The music is quiet and unobtrusive, and the drink prices are reasonable. Overall, after two years without the sea, we had a lovely rest, and it meant a lot to us.

The landlady Eleni was available at all times, providing us with information about some beaches. The location of the apartment is excellent for exploring all of Sithonia. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we were given the opportunity to practically choose our rooms. We paid for two double studios, but received two triple ones instead. Elena is an exceptionally considerate host. The accommodation is clean and tidy. They change the bed linens and towels every four days.

We are extremely satisfied with the four-person apartment. The location is excellent. It has mosquito nets. The space is vast. The kitchen is fully equipped. Bed linens and towels are changed every three days. There is a yard suitable for children. The hosts are wonderful. They assisted us when our license plates were stolen, immediately called the police, and we swiftly resolved all the paperwork and procedures. In the end, we received a gift from the hosts - a large quantity of homemade olives. Regarding the location: outstanding. There are beautiful beaches nearby, and it’s a short walk to the center of the fishing village. The four-person apartment is more than comfortable.

Dear everyone, Today we returned from Ormos Panagias, where we stayed in a four-bed studio at the Maria Karga accommodation. The accommodation was excellent, and Maria and her daughter Eleni were very accommodating and hospitable. All praise goes to them, as well as to the accommodation itself. The hygiene was at a commendable level; everything was clean, and the bed linens were changed every three days. Regarding noise, we were on the opposite side of the main road, so the noise did not bother us. We didn't even turn on the air conditioning, believe me, there was no need for it. All in all, all praises for the accommodation and the hosts.

A beautiful property, ideally located for exploring the beach, particularly the stunning Trani Ammouda beach which is just 800 meters away. The area is charming and tranquil, with exceptionally friendly staff, reliable internet, a lovely garden, and a well-equipped kitchen. Overall, we wish to return to this villa and this place next year.

The Maria Karga Apartments are situated in an ideal location, perfect for exploring the most beautiful beaches of Sithonia, such as Trani Amudia, which is just a 10-minute walk from the apartments. While the proximity to the main road may be bothersome due to vehicle noise, this issue can easily be resolved with the use of blinds. The owner, Eleni, is an excellent collaborator and very pleasant, with towels and bed linens being changed almost every two days. The Wi-Fi, which is essential, is satisfactory at most times and occasionally even excellent, far exceeding the standards found in other apartments where connectivity is barely achievable. Overall, we had a wonderful time at Eleni's and will certainly return for another holiday.

I am very pleased with the hygiene, the kindness of the owner and staff, as well as the comfort provided in the accommodation. A minor issue is the noise from the main road, but this can be mitigated by closing the terrace doors and turning on the air conditioning. It might also be beneficial, if possible, to include at least one TV channel in Serbian within the channel offerings. Excellent accommodation, in my opinion.

Eleni’s house is situated in a prime location in Ormos Panagias, offering numerous opportunities to explore the entirety of Sithonia, including various beaches and charming towns. There is parking available right in front of the house or just around the corner. The house is impeccably clean and offers great value for the price paid. The ten days we spent at Eleni's place in Ormos Panagias were truly beautiful. Although we visited other beaches, it was the beach in Ormos Panagias that captivated us the most. We dined at local restaurants, but they were rather pricey, so we often prepared our own meals. The coastal village boasts a charming fish market where we purchased fish and shrimp at reasonable prices. Additionally, there were two stores where we could buy bread, beer, wine, vegetables, fruits, and other groceries. Eleni's place (House Carga) featured a spacious communal kitchen that all guests could utilize, and it was mostly unoccupied, allowing us to cook there whenever we pleased. Our stay was entirely stress-free, and we encountered no significant issues. The apartment was indeed quite small, yet it was clean, and Eleni came to tidy it up three times during our ten-day stay, providing us with fresh sheets and towels. Eleni was a wonderful host; her English was good, and conversing with her was a pleasure. She was always fair, sincere, and relaxed about everything. For instance, she made an error on our first day when we couldn't access our apartment, and she rectified it by offering us the larger apartment for that one night. Another instance was when we left our shoes behind in the apartment; we realized this only after returning home, but Eleni was quick to assist, and after a few messages, we arranged for our shoes to be sent back home... On the downside, the only issue with House Carga is its proximity to the main road (which runs along the east side of Sitonia, up to Sarti, I believe). If your apartment faces the main road, forget about peace and quiet! The traffic can be quite bothersome, and you may indeed struggle to sleep the first night, or until you acclimate, I suppose... Overall, Ormos Panagias is a true gem of Sitonia; forget about the more famous beaches, this coastal village boasts the best one! House Carga was a delightful place to stay during the fabulous ten days we spent there, and we can only say that we wholeheartedly recommend it...

Excellent value for money

A warm recommendation for families with small children and couples. Regarding the double rooms, please note that they are quite small, almost too small. The bathrooms are in rather poor condition, which cannot be seen in the pictures. The terraces in the double rooms are extremely narrow, and their length does not allow for comfortable lounging, especially during the morning hours when the sun shines directly on the double apartments (this concerns the second floor). The terraces on the second floor lack awnings or any sun protection. The most important thing is that hygiene is at a commendable level, but the rooms are cleaned only twice in ten days, not three times as stated. As for the apartments near the main road, they are mostly three and four-bed apartments (no sleeping arrangements). The insulation is very poor, and the villa is located just two meters from the main road. If you are coming with small children and are light sleepers, choose the side facing the sea. With a bit of organization, this can be an ideal accommodation for you if you follow the instructions in the comments. Regarding other amenities, the villa has a spacious kitchen, perfect for preparing breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The kitchen is well-equipped and has all the conditions for preparing various delicacies. Additionally, the villa features a large garden for relaxation and leisure, accessible to all guests, along with mandatory mosquito protection, as there are quite a few of them.

The house is very beautiful and well-maintained, and the owners are kind and unobtrusive, always available to assist when needed. We stayed in a four-person studio that is exceptionally pleasant and consistently shaded. The space is sufficiently spacious, the furniture is new, cleaning is done every other day, and towels and linens are changed every third to fourth day. There is plenty of cookware, which is not at all scarce for four people. The owners also offered to wash our clothes or towels as needed, and this service is provided free of charge. Overall, it is a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere within the house. Ormos Panagias is a small and tranquil place, but it has a store, a bakery, about ten cafes and restaurants, several stalls with souvenirs, and a lovely little harbor, meaning it has everything needed for an evening stroll (all of this is just a 2-minute walk from the house). The beach is a 1-minute drive away, large, beautiful, sandy, and never overly crowded, with parking available both at the house and on the beach. Maria rents a beautiful studio villa. The rooms are lovely, new, and clean. The courtyard is gorgeous. The hostess is kind. The place, Ormos Panagias, is stunning, and it is close to the most beautiful beaches. I highly recommend Maria's studio to everyone.

We spent ten wonderful days of summer here, and I recommend it to anyone wishing to explore Sithonia and its most beautiful beaches. It is close to Nikiti, Lidl, as well as Vurvuru and Sarti. The hostess is delightful, the yard is beautiful, the rooms are clean, and the furniture is new. Overall, I highly recommend it.

The only issue I encountered was that I was placed beside a road where the noise from the cars was quite loud while I had a small baby with me. There is a need for improvements in sound insulation. Everything else was satisfactory.
