Amolofi beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in northern Greece. It is a beach that stretches for several kilometers, sandy both in the water and on the shore, with golden, very fine sand like flour.
Geographically, the beach belongs to the town of Nea Peramos and is only 5 kilometers away from the town center. The beach itself is secluded from the town, isolated from traffic, crowds, and noise, making it ideal for a true vacation, sunbathing, relaxation, and pure enjoyment.
Organization and spaciousness on the shore
The beach is divided into three parts, two of which are organized (with sunbeds and umbrellas, beach bars, and music) while one part is completely free for those seeking absolute peace.
More than fifty meters wide, there are many bars where you can sit, so even in the peak season, it is not crowded.
The water depth gradually increases, making it ideal for families with young children, for whom there are also shallow areas for splashing around.
Bar offerings: From classic to “Premium” experiences
The bars are spacious with excellent offerings and service, as well as a large number of sunbeds and umbrellas. While some offer a more relaxed atmosphere, Amolofi has become known for its luxurious (“fancy”) options that look like they belong on a magazine cover.

Some bars play quite loud music, some even host daytime parties, so those who enjoy that kind of atmosphere can find it here. There are also bars with softer and quieter music, and in each one, you can find everything you need.

For those seeking a premium beach experience
One of the most famous bars is Peponi. The ambiance is very “fancy” and under palm trees, giving off a Caribbean vibe. The sunbed sets have thick cushions, and the space is beautifully decorated. Such luxury does come at a price.
- The sunbed set costs 10 euros + a mandatory consumption that depends on the row:
- First row: minimum consumption of 120 euros.
- Second row: minimum consumption of 100 euros.
- Third row: minimum consumption of 80 euros.
- For other rows: minimum consumption of 60 euros.
Next to Peponi are beach bars Amos and then Paradise in the same category. We particularly liked the bar after them, a bar Koo with pavilions, tents, woven details, and chandeliers.
- Currently, until the end of May, there is a system in place where you only pay 10 euros for a set and there is no minimum consumption required, while from June 1st, a system with mandatory consumption will begin.
The beach is entirely sandy, the water is exceptionally clear and visually very “Instagrammable,” making it particularly popular for photography.
- In the hinterland of the beach, there are huge shaded parking areas, which is a great advantage in the peak season.
The atmosphere in the vicinity of the beach is completely different - more rural, with nature, the scent of oranges, and birds, giving this beautiful beach an additional charm.
