Public beach in Neos Marmaras was a pleasant surprise for us. A very long beach with clean, turquoise water. Along the beach there are trees so there is natural shade. The most part of the beach is intended for the visitors with their own equipment, but in one part there are a lot of beach bars with umbrellas and sunbeds which you can get by ordering a drink, while in some bars you need to pay €10 for renting a set. There are various cafes with different options, so the best is to check the conditions before you sit down.

Anyway, the beach is very long so it’s not too crowded even in August (sometimes the sea gets dirty in this period). Within the bars there are showers that can be used by all visitors, there are also toilets, cabins and you can find everything in one place.
Public beach is connected with the private beach that belongs to the Porto Carras Hotel, and together they spread for a few kilometers.
