Skala Maries city beach
City beach in Skala Maries is small, sandy on the shore, with a gradual depth, but also with stones in the water.
The advantage of this beach is that it’s not crowded, and it has a bit of natural shade. Right next to the beach, there are several good restaurants and one of the most famous fish taverns - Armeno.
If you are staying in Skala Maries, you can use this beach for swimming occasionally. But the only 500m from it, there is more beautiful Sunset beach, and 800m further in the direction to Limenaria, even more beautiful Atspas (aka Sugar) beach.
The city beach in Skala Maries is not organized, has no showers or dressing cabins, but has a crystal clear blue water.

Međutim, utisak kad uđete u more nije pozitivan, jer ima baš dosta trave i kamenja i to gotovo celom dužinom plićaka, pa sve do većih dubina. Jedino što joj se mora priznati kao veliki plus je potpuno odsustvo gužve i neopisivi mir koji na njoj vlada.
