Detailed description:
The beach is beautiful and sandy, with crystal clear water. The bottom is mostly sand, with a one to two-meter-wide strip of rocks at the entrance, followed by sand and shallow waters. The color of the water is very beautiful, blue-green, because of the pine trees in the surroundings.
On the shore right next to the beach, there are two charming taverns with fantastic views of the sea, as well as a large number of private houses owned by Greeks from Thessaloniki. For this reason, access to the beach may be further from the accommodation than it actually is, as it is not possible to pass through private properties.
This is also the reason why this place does not have a seaside promenade, but a large and charmingly decorated square where social life takes place. Here you will find cafes, shops, taverns, and several play areas for children.
In Skala Furka, there are large supermarkets such as Masoutis and Arvanitidis, so tourists have the opportunity for affordable supplies. For larger shopping, as well as for a richer nightlife and more interesting evening walks, Kalithea is only about 10 kilometers away, Hanioti is also relatively close, and of course, places on the western coast, Siviri and Nea Skioni.
Skala Furka is an excellent resort exclusively for those who wish to spend their vacation in a tranquil place, without attractive tourist facilities.
