Lefkada has many beautiful beaches, authentic villages, fantastic viewpoints, cultural and historical monuments and sights. However, due to the mountainous terrain, many beaches and sights are not easily accessible. The roads to the famous beaches are narrow, curved and some of them are dirt. In order for the holiday to not be stressed, the list of beaches that should be visited during the ten-day holiday should not be too long.

For us, for the first visit to Lefkada, it is worth visiting the beaches Porto Katsiki, Egremni, Agiofili, Kathisma and Milos.

If you are located in the East, you can possibly add Mikros Gialos and Afteli, and Desimi if you like natural shade. If you are located in the west then you can also visit the beach Pefkoulia and Gialos.

On your list you can include the monastery Faneromeni near Lefkas, the authentic place of Agios Nikitas, the Dimosari waterfall if you are located near Nidri.

Most of the populated places in the west are located in the hills rather than on the coast and from them there is a fantastic view of the sea, and if you love traditional villages, stop in one of them and enjoy along with local population in an authentic atmosphere.

From many villages on the slopes there are viewpoints with a breathless view. One of the most famous viewpoints is the garden of the Rachi Tavern near Kalamitsi/Exantheia. At this place you can watch the sunset that will remain wonderful in your memories.

In the east of the island, near Nidri, there is a chapel dedicated to the prophet Ilia at an altitude of over 1000 meters above sea level. From here is perhaps the most beautiful view of Lefkada, the sea and the surrounding islands.

In the south of the island there may be the most beautiful place in Lefkada, Vasiliki. Located into flowers and greenery in a small port this place is a great choice for a break in one of the gardens of restaurants or cafes by the sea.

Of course, part of the unforgettable experience in each destination is the tasting of local specialties. A small town Sivota is famous for its excellent fish taverns and you can visit it to enjoy the fish and seafood in a very nice, natural environment .

When you are on holiday in Lefkada you can go for a one-day visit to Kefalonia. We recommend that you visit this island and the picturesque town of Fiskardo by boat or within an organized excursion.

Lefkada is also an ideal place to try something new and try some of the water sports, kite-surfing, windsurfing, paragliding … Pay for lessons and start the adventure.

We also recommend that you visit the capital Lefkas Town and walk by the sea, alongside a marina with hundreds of yachts and boats, but also walk zone and numerous cobbled streets filled with sweet taverns and shops.
