How to Get to Koviou Beach?

There are three ways to reach the beach.

• The first is by parking your car on the main road, near the cantine, in a capacity expansion for around 20 cars and descending to the beach through a concrete path right below.
• The second way is to follow the signs to Hotel Makednos located on the beach itself, park in the hotel’s parking lot and walk down to the beach.
• The third is to follow the sign towards Isla beach bar, turn off the main road and drive to the Isla junction where you can park your car.

Beach Description and Amenities

This beach features beautiful turquoise and clear water, shallow waters ideal for children, lovely sand, and fine gravel on the shore. In one part of the beach, there is natural shade, and in the water, there are occasional rocks, but very few. The sand at the bottom of the sea is light-colored, giving the sea a gentle blue hue.

• In front of Hotel Makednos, there are sunbeds and umbrellas available for rent, plus drinks that you can order, but the rest of the beach is free for those with their own equipment.

Koviou Beach is ideal for snorkeling enthusiasts, so if you don’t like commercial and popular beaches, visit Koviou and you will truly enjoy it.

Where to Park at Koviou Beach?

Parking is crucial as the beach is tucked below the main road level, and during the season, expect large crowds. There are three options available:

• Expansion near the access point: There is a small parking space above the beach (around 15-20 vehicles), from where a path leads to the beach. It fills up very early in the season, often as early as 9:00.
• Parking at Isla Beach Bar: There is parking at the beach bar, but it is intended for bar guests and is usually used in combination with sunbeds or drinks.
• Parking along the main road: The most common option in the season. It is important that the vehicle does not obstruct traffic or narrow the road, as checks and fines are possible, and traffic jams on this part of the road are significant.

Tip: Start your journey to Koviou Beach early to find parking more easily. If you park along the main road, make sure the vehicle does not cross the white line or obstruct traffic - checks are frequent during the season.
