Koviou beach is located less than 5km from Nikiti. It is one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in Sithonia. The beach can be reached in three ways. The first is by parking the car above the beach, and a walking on concrete path to go down to the beach. Another way is to follow the signs to the hotel Makednos located right on the beach to park in the parking lot of the hotel and go down on foot to the beach. The third way is to follow the signs to Isla beach bar, take a turn from the main road and drive to the exit for Isla where you can park the car.

This beach is beautiful and has a beautiful turquoise and clean water, it is shallow and ideal for children, has beautiful sand and tiny pebbles on the shore. In one part of the beach there is natural shade, and in the water here and there there are some bigger rocks, but rarely. The sand on the sea floor is light-colored and so water has a gentle blue tint. In front of the hotel Makedons there are sunbeds and umbrellas that are charged 10€ plus drinks, but the rest of the beach is free for those who have their own equipment.

Koviou beach is ideal for diving, so if you do not like the commercial and popular beaches, pay Koviou a visit and you’ll really enjoy yourself.
